Bonga Korean BBQ Restaurant - Solaris Mont Kiara

Accompanied dear dear for dinner yesterday night as usual..
He wanted to eat sushi so we went to solaris since its the nearest other than hartamas but when we got there, he suddenly said he wanted to try korean food instead. So in the end, we ended up here in Bonga.Frankly speaking, I am not a fan of Korean food because their food just don't appeal to me (no offense) but I figured, no harm trying..

It says that all ingredients are imported but its really disappointing because there're not much to choose from the menu. The pictures and descriptions are just so... not attractive...or maybe its just me. hmmmmm :/

Anyway, not knowing what to eat, we asked the attendants to recommend something.. sadly, they are not very professional because

1. Their English is limited
2. They're not sure what is good in their restaurant
3. They did not inform us what comes with the food we ordered

In the end, we ended up ordering 3 "things":

1. Waggalbi (Marinated Beef)
2. Samgyobsal (Pork Belly)
3. Haemul Pa Jeon (Korean Seafood Pancake)
.................................................Figuring 3 dishes are enough for the 2 of us

Suddenly, to our horror.. the food comes in tray! *mortified looks*
Photobucket
The yellow kuih-like-thingy with chili in the middle of em are kinda nice. hehe, maybe because i love to eat things made out of flour. :P

Actually, these dishes are mainly veges. Some of them taste nice but some of them not. The soup tastes like spicy miso soup. I don't like it.. but dear dear does.

Haemul Pa Jeon (Korean Seafood Pancake)

This tastes not bad. But then again, it tastes like those we usually eat also le..
nothing special.

They were like so many of them, we were like how to eat orh.. ._."
They should have informed us that these dishes/entrees come free with the meal we ordered.. then we wouldn't have ordered the pancake.. the pancake looks like its really meant for 3-4 person liddat..at last, we ended up wasting alot of food cos we couldn't finish the entrees.. haiz

The thing which I like most is the Waggalbi. We thought that we could cook ourselves but sadly we were wrong :( .. anyhow, if u ever wanna try this restaurant out, i would recommend this:

If the person who attends to you knows how to cook this perfectly, I'll guarantee u satisfaction.

Next up is the pork belly:

I don't really like it as I'm not a fan of fei chu yuk and also, this is not marinated..no taste wan :x
But dear dear loves fei chu yuk.. so he loves this...
Photobucket
see the oil dripping? lol

The sauce:
Photobucket
I like the chili one. :D

For desserts, they let you choose between Ais Kacang, Fruits and the last one, i couldn't hear properly but what i heard is "ice coffee" .. wth? -.-"
So we chose Ais Kacang..
Don't really like it.. not nice
Photobucket

Overall, I'd say that this restaurant is so-so lorh.. Maybe my opinion is biased because I don't really like korean food..but still, I trust my taste buds :P
If you don't trust me, u guys can try it out.. I'd rate it 4/10..
One surprising thing about the restaurant is that it is kinda crowded when we went there and they're lots of korean families there. Maybe to them, the food is nice..but yea..welp, different culture, different tastebuds. haha!

This is my receipt..so u can judge the prices by urself and the address is clearly printed on the receipt:

Hate to say it but i don't think i will go back to the restaurant again.

Highlight of my Saturday: Angus House, Pavillion

Went to Cineleisure with dear dear last Saturday to celebrate his...somethin somethin. lol.. We had our lunch at Senjyu Sushi which is located oh the ground floor just next to McD. Its not our 1st time there but I have to say, its one of our favorite place for Japanese food. We went there on the 2nd day this shop was opened.. the food portion there was like "woah!" the 1st time we went there. Imagine mm.. unagi sushi.. the Unagi was like 5-6cm long, covering the sushi rice. I was too eager to eat so I kicked aside the need to blog about this place. We were like "dayum, tis place rocks" but then the 2nd time we went there (n I was so ready to blog about it).. everything "suk sui" edi.. I got a little sad n yea, "forgot" to blog again. But still, we still love this place alot coz the ingredients they use are really fresh; like very fresh.

This time, I did took some pics.. the quality isn't very good because I forgot my cam n had to take it with my phone.. sheesh! You'd find better pictures Here and Here

Then, we went to watch Ice Age 3.
Photobucket

Suprisingly, I think that this is better than the previous ice age episodes. But of course, this is just a matter of opinion. Worth the watch, I would say if you need a little laugh to brighten up your day :D And if u like cute things, u'd love this. Why? Go watch it yourself.

After the movie, we went to Pavillion to repair my wallet and had dinner. So sad.. they told me my wallet is hopelessly ruined n un-fixable! T_T
Photobucket
seeeee? I was so heartbroken but dear dear bought me a new one despite me asking him for like more than 10 times was it necessary and he said yea.. But still, I'm still heartbroken as I love this model very much.. Does anyone know how or where can I fix this? (or is it really hopeless?) .. I'm still hoping for a solution and would be REALLY GRATEFUL for an answer ~

So yea, here's the highlight of the day. We went to this Angus House for our dinner. Its a Japanese charcoal steak house and their specialty is Wagyu beef. Whats a Wagyu beef? O.O .. Lol, Wagyu beef comes from those cow where people feed them with sake and massage them for like everyday. Dear dear had a 200 gram kobe sirloin set and that alone costs RM280. yea...crazy. I'll spare you guys the suspense and show you how it looks like:

Photobucket
"Cieh, normal lo" .. hor? but it tastes sooo dang good :}

Other pictures.. (I'm gettin realy sleepy and don't feel like typing much)

Photobucket
I swear these veges tasted like beef! hmmmm

Photobucket
My set of mixed grilled seafood. DON'T ORDER THIS. Its so not worth it.seriously! I can get better food elsewhere at that price. sheeesh.

Aite, so here's our bill, complete with the place's address:
Photobucket

This place is kinda romantic so I'd definitely recommend couples to try it out :}
Also, they serve the ladies 1st, which is good.. shows that the ppl tending to you are well trained :D

Welp, this is the end of this post. Forgive me for my grammatical errors as I'm so freakin sleepy... I'm off to bed now. nite nite~

Teen model escapes 'abusive' Malaysian prince

Yahoo news' version:
by Presi Mandari Presi Mandari – Mon Jun 1, 3:41 am ET

JAKARTA (AFP) – A teenage US-Indonesian model has returned to her family in Indonesia with tales of abuse, rape and torture at the hands of a Malaysian prince, after her dramatic escape with the help of Singapore police.

Manohara Odelia Pinot, 17, told reporters she was treated like a sex slave after her marriage to Tengku Temenggong Mohammad Fakhry, the prince of Malaysia's Kelantan state, last year.

Her mother, Daisy Fajarina, said she would press charges against the 31-year-old prince, and blamed the Malaysian and Indonesian governments for trying to cover up the alleged abuse.

"The things I've been afraid of were revealed to be true. Manohara has suffered physical abuse. She's got several razor cuts on her chest," Fajarina told AFP on Monday.

"No parent could be silent if their child was treated in such a barbaric way."

The Malaysian government had ignored her pleas for access to her daughter and had blocked her from entering the country, she said, while the Indonesian embassy had said that Manohara was fine with her new husband.

But the young woman -- a well-known socialite in Jakarta -- said her life at the royal palace involved a "daily routine" of rape, abuse, torture and occasional drug injections that made her vomit blood.

She said she was usually held under guard in her bedroom at the palace and was injected with tranquilisers whenever she complained.

"I am still traumatised by all that happened and it has left an impact on me," she told reporters in Jakarta on Sunday, after escaping the royal family during a trip to Singapore over the weekend.

"Sexual abuse and sexual harassment were like a daily routine for me, and he did that every time I did not want to have sexual intercourse," she was quoted as saying in The Jakarta Globe.

"I could never think a normal man could do such things," she said, adding: "Some parts of my body were cut by a razor."

The teenager whose fairy-tale wedding to a prince captured the imagination of Indonesia said she would be tortured if she did not appear to be happy when she attended social functions with Fakhry.

"Every time I went for events they forced me to smile and would torture me if I did not do what they said," she told the press conference.

She said she secretly called Singaporean police and pleaded for help after the royal family took her to the city state when they accompanied Fakhry's father, Sultan Ismail Petra Shah II, for medical treatment.

"The police told Fakhry that he would be held in jail if he did not let me go. No one could force me against my will in Singapore and I knew I had a chance to escape," she said.

The model once voted as being among Indonesia's "100 Precious Women" said she escaped her guards by pushing the Singapore hotel elevator's emergency button.

They were reluctant to chase her because they knew the scene would be captured on security cameras.

She blasted the Indonesian embassy in Malaysia, saying: "They made it worse by telling lies, saying that I was fine while I was suffering in Kelantan."

A spokesman for the Indonesian foreign ministry insisted the embassy had done everything it could to help Manohara and said the government would assist her if she wanted to file charges against her husband.

Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said the government would not investigate the claims.

"I think this is more of a personal matter. To date we have not been dragged into it, so we want to leave it as it is," he told reporters in Kuala Lumpur.

Malaysia's royal rulers used to enjoy immunity from criminal and civil charges but the privilege was removed in 1993.

There has been no comment from the Kelantan royal family.

Manohara's lawyer, Yuri Darmas, said she would have a medical examination to back up her allegations of abuse.

"We need one to two days to gather evidence before we file a lawsuit to the Malaysian police," he said, adding that he intended to pursue both criminal and civil lawsuits against the prince.

Manohara has already filed for divorce, her mother said.

Malaysian's news version:
Kelantan prince's wife Manohara in the news again

ps: Author unknown. Cowardly dickheads

KUALA LUMPUR: She was a model and well-known socialite in Indonesia but Manohara Odelia Pinot is back in the limelight after she alleged her Kelantan prince husband of treating her inhumanely.

Stories of the 17-year-old were splashed across the print media in Indonesia yesterday.

Banjarmasin Post quoted Manohara, who is married to 31-year-old Tengku Temenggong Tengku Mohamad Fakhry Sultan Ismail Petra, as saying she fled from a hotel in Singapore last Sunday.
Manohara receives a kiss from her mother at their home in West Jakarta on Sunday

She related how palace officials tried to stop her but she was rescued by Singaporean authorities who saw her struggling with them on a CCTV.

She was reported to have escaped with the help of the US embassy in Singapore and was reunited with her mother on the ground floor of the hotel.

The couple was in Singapore to visit the Sultan of Kelantan, who was undergoing treatment for a heart ailment at the Mount Elizabeth hospital.

Berita Kompass reported that the Indonesian Foreign ministry would take up the Manohara case to Malaysia if she filed an official complaint.

Jakarta Post showed a picture of Manohara being kissed by her mother Daisy Fajarina at their home in Sipli, West Jakarta.

Daisy had frequently appeared on TV gossip shows claiming that her daughter had been kidnapped and abused.

She said she would press charges against the prince, and blamed the Malaysian and Indonesian authorities for trying to cover up the alleged abuse.

“The things I’ve been afraid of were revealed to be true. Manohara has suffered physical abuse. She’s got several razor cuts on her chest,” Daisy told AFP yesterday. She said Manohara had already filed for divorce.

Upon her return, Manohara confirmed her mother’s claims in a press conference that she had been ill-treated.

AFP quoted Manohara as telling reporters she was still “traumatised” by what had happened to her after her marriage last year.

She said she secretly called Singaporean police and pleaded for help while she was in the republic.

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the Malaysian Government does not want to get involved in the case.

“I think this is more of a personal matter. We should not be dragged into this situation so we want to just leave it as it is,” he told reporters here.

There has been no comment from the Kelantan royal family.

Manohara’s lawyer Yuri Darmas said she would undergo a medical examination to back up her allegations of abuse.

AFP sought more information from the Detikcom news website in Indonesia, which quoted a friend of the prince as saying that the model was allowed to leave voluntarily and he blamed her mother for influencing her to make up stories about him.

The friend, Mohd Soberi Shafii, said she should be examined by a “neutral doctor in Australia, Singapore or London” to support her allegations.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

My say:

Hey fucktards, this is no private matter. Torturing, Raping, Threatening are serious offense and if you guys have brains(I'm just giving u guys a tad face.. we all know more than half of the Malaysian ppl knows our government's standard), you wouldn't say somethin like those marked in white. We're not stupid people, though we know you guys are, stop trying to cover the case with stupid white lies that is obviously retarded and go fuckin' do sumthin. If I could say more, I would.

Rude Police Rosly (number 104034) Stopped a harmless lady at a quiet housing area

Posted by victim on facebook:

2009.5.21 @ 9am, USJ 9 I was driving to office, and found this police man, Rosly (number 104034) his motorbike was riding around my car for awhile. As I was not breaking any laws (with my safety belt buckled, my handsfree was hooked on to my handphone, my car door lock, I was having signals for making turns) I didn't give him much attention. But as the traffic light turned green, he gave me a sign to ask me to pull my car to aside. But instead of normal routine that a policeman will aks you to pull you car along the roadside, he insisted me to pull my car into the housing area. I got frighten. I wined down my window (approximately 3 inch) and ask if I did any thing wrong, he said "Just checking" he asked for my driving license, i handed him. and he ask for my IC (identity card), i hesitated but i handled him. he was looking in my car's content and also the road tax at the windscreen. NOTHING WAS WRONG. He then asked me to come down my car and he wanted to check my car boot. SOMETHING IS WRONG!!! immediately this thought come in my head. i quickly call my colleagues and told them i was being pull aside by a policeman at a housing area 5 mins away from office. If within 30 minutes I am not reporting to office, please make a report to police station! i stopped my engine, holding my car keys (locked my car) and having my handphone beside me (i have not put down the phone and my colleague is still at the other end of the line) I open my car boot and it shows that it's empty. He suspiciously check the old newspaper covering the sparetyre case. i requested my ID and license from him. at the same time, i proceed to my laptop case and bring out my diary. i requested to see his batch number and wanted to have a look at his ID. he got OFFENDED and started to shout at me and claimed "I AM A POLICEMAN, I HAVE THE RIGHT AND AUTHORITY TO STOP ANY CAR AND DEMAND ANYONE FOR A REGULAR CHECK" Hello!!! I am a single lady driving a car obeying laws. it is correct that he can check any car, but he has no right no ask me to pull my car at a place where no one will drive in or passby and requested me to come down from my car! These days criminal has been so active and there are many cases we read from newspaper saying that false policeman use these trick to rap and kill single ladies! Here, have a look at this man and BE ALERT at all time!!! UPDATE: I went to a nearby police station and requested to check this policeman ID. unfortunately, they told me, if a policeman is wearing full suit uniform, he is a REAL policeman. but i read newspaper today, 23 May 09. There is 3 policeman in Seri Kembangan rape a 17-year-old Indonesian lady whom forgotten to bring her passport. Also, i wish to thanks to Adriena Leong and NiNi whom share this link: Malaysianbar (download the pdf)
It links to the Malaysian Bar Council's document teaching the public what are their rights if stopped by police.

Please do post this on, guys!

Its true you know..I see people around me are always throwing life away.. mostly because of money. I'm not saying that makin money is not important but, whats the point of workin day and nite, and u get lots of money, in the end u spend almost ur entire fortune which you have been savin, workin ur ass off almost ur entire life, on hospital fees? Smoking, clubbing and gettin drunk and stuff..

Sometimes I hope that they'll spend sometime to think about those unfortunate people, who wants to live their life to the fullest. Look at them and think how fortunate you are..

Lyric:
Good morning, yesterday
You wake up and time has slipped away
And suddenly it's hard to find
The memories you left behind
Remember, do you remember

The laughter and the tears
The shadows of misty yesteryears
The good times and the bad you've seen
And all the others in between
Remember, do you remember
The times of your life (do you remember)

Reach back for the joy and the sorrow
Put them away in your mind
The mem'ries are time that you borrow
To spend when you get to tomorrow

Here comes the saddest part (comes the saddest part)
The seasons are passing one by one
So gather moments while you may
Collect the dreams you dream today
Remember, will you remember
The times of your life

Gather moments while you may
Collect the dreams you dream today
Remember, will you remember
The times of your life
Of your life
Of your life

Do you remember, baby

Do you remember the times of your life
Do you remember, baby
Do you remember the times of your life /end of lyric

Letter for my sweetheart

To my dear dear,

(ps: don't "read more" on this if this post is not intended for u. Trust me, you don't wanna read this =/)

I don't need Ferragamos, Burberries, Guccis to be happy. I don't need fancy food in fancy places to feel happy.. all I need is for you to be there, to share with me, your ups and downs..to respect me and my family, to understand my situation like I am tryin to understand yours. If money is all I'm after, I wouldn't have stayed by your side all these times.. I've been poor with you, been happy with u, everything with you. I just don't want you to be sad and frustrated.. moreover, burdened by me.

I want you to be healthy and happy.. I don't wanna loose someone again after knowing how It hurts to loose someone so dear. All I'm asking is for you to quit smoking because I am so afraid, afraid of loosing you.

I am sorry if I said hurtful words to you when we argue..Sometimes I say stupid things when I'm angry but that doesn't mean I don't mean some of It. I'm not looking for puppy love, nor am I looking for a fling. Call me cliche' or lame, I need someone who I can be with, forever.

You know I'm realistic but that doesn't mean that I'm materialistic..You don't need to spoil me with branded goods, my dear, for I am afraid that I am becoming like those person I despise most; judging others by what they're wearing, driving and stuff, looking down at people who are less fortunate than me. I am becoming a bitch. I don't want anymore branded goods.. I am happy enough if i can go shopping once in a while for beautiful clothes, shoes, etc instead of the not-so-nice branded stuffs. ;)

I know that you'll visit this blog once in a while.. I figured that If you don feel like listening to me blabbering these to you, I'd let you read it instead. Love you.

Love,
